Our Story

More than just a yoga studio, Vasa is a welcoming community of people who value their wellbeing.

Vasa the Studio opened its doors on November 1, 2014.  Our studio owner Lisa Vest has been teaching in the community since July 2011 and her intention was to create a space where every student feels welcome and safe to experience all that yoga has to offer. If you had the opportunity to talk to our students they would tell you she has done just that.  At Vasa you will find a nurturing and loving environment with a strong focus on learning from and respecting your body. Our desire is for you to continually discover a personal and sustainable practice that fits your lifestyle and self-care needs.

Our weekly class schedule offers a wide variety of class styles and we welcome practitioners of all experience levels to every class. Each class offers opportunities to learn ways to adjust the practice to fit your needs on any given day. Our staff includes highly trained and knowledgeable instructors with varying backgrounds and specialties. We encourage our instructors to be themselves and share their passions and unique voice in their classes through their sequencing and music selection.

We take pride in learning our students' names and sharing an interest in their wellness goals as well as anything else they want to share with us. The staff aren't the only welcoming and encouraging part of Vasa. Our students are genuinely kind and compassionate as well. It is truly a beautiful sight to see the friendships that have blossomed and strengthened within the walls of our space.
